The short film NOWHERELAND is about three men stranded on a planet on which no women are allowed. They exist in a bunker-like area, fiddling with equipment, dominated by a tyrannical overlord whose logo is pug with a pipe. We are led into haunting images of an ominous hallway, ambiguous satellite dishes and throbbing polka dots. Into our hero's drab gas masked existence, a woman appears, luring him away from his duties and, indeed the social order of things to come (echoing the themes of Terry Gilliam's 1985 Film Brazil).
Winner of the Best Drama at the Dreamcatcher Film Festival in Kiev and Best Short in the Thunderbird Film Festival in Cedar City, Utah. The film was entirely shot on location and in studios in Santa Barbara.
